Dharma Dhrishti
The Dharmashri Foundation, named after the great master and one of the most renowned scholars of Tibetan Buddhism, Lochen Dharmashri, was established by Her Eminence Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche and Jetsün Dechen Paldrön in 1997 under the spiritual direction of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen. It is a group of dedicated practitioners and translators who work to preserve, compile, translate and archive the precious teachings of the Mindrolling Lineage in particular and in general the precious teachings of the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages.
One of its activities is to archive photographs and videos of the great teachers of Buddhism and their teachings and wisdom. To this regard, the sub-division of Dharmashri Foundation called Dharma Dhrishti (View of Dharma) has begun collecting interviews with living masters of Tibetan Buddhism. We try to archive relevant questions to today's practitioners in an effort to bring forward direct answers from the great teachers teaching today.
The purpose behind the efforts of Dharma Dhrishti is to present commonly asked and pertinent questions of dharma practitioners to the many great masters of this day and age. It is our aspiration that the many different answers collected may be used as a reference to develop a deeper and more direct understanding of the buddhadharma. It is our hope that students on the path of dharma may, through study of these dialogues, come to regard the wisdom of each lineage as being rooted in the same basic truth. We hope that through presenting the various advices and instructions of the great living masters of today in Dharma Dhrishti, it may deepen our understanding regarding the depth and richness of the various lineages. We also hope that through this endeavour, it helps practitioners of buddhadharma realize that all the various traditions and lineages are skilful methods aimed towards the same motivation of achieving freedom from suffering for self and others and rooted in the single, unchanging essential truth.
It is our aspiration that the Dharma Dhrishti project may collect, preserve and disseminate these valuable resources bringing ceaseless benefit to all practitioners of the buddhadharma and aid in developing a deeper and fuller view of the sublime dharma.
